@Rimadi they most certainly won’t be, most are in the process of being scrapped, with 4 aircraft (3 retro plus 1 current livery) being preserved, unless they purchase some secondhand (also highly unlikely, and even if they did plan to get second hand jumbos, they’d get A380s) they will never operate the 747 again

In general BA crew are pretty excellent compared to American carriers. They’re genuinely polite and if you fly them you’ll find out.

@the.abhiram.r Assuming that the execs even know. He says he pays for most of his flights out of his own pocket, so presumably booking through the website. You may well be right that BA knows that he’s coming, but if you’ve ever flown BA Business class, they train their staff to be super, almost uncomfortably polite and attentive. Flight 001 is the oldest transatlantic route and has the Concorde legacy to compete with. Only the most senior cabin crew fly this route. Judging by the two times the cabin manager introduced himself by name and the rehearsed delivery of every line I’d go out on a limb and say that they were doing what they always do; regurgitate the same persona for everyone on board on this flight and every other flight. BA has nothing to prove overall, they won’t go bust over a bad review from a YouTube blogger. The vast majority of the flying public do not watch travel videos – they just want to get from A to B as cheaply and smoothly as possible. I may be wrong but to me this seems standard procedure and not special treatment.
