The SPR was broken so we had to gravity fuel from the wings…
We had a delta MD88 that had inop fuel gauges N914DE I think .,.always had to use wing dipsticks…another mad dog had a gauge that would stick so if you didn’t remember to tap the glass every 60 seconds you’d be reminded by the fuel coming out of the vent think that was ship number 987…there also was a nwa dc-9-50 that no gauges worked…the pilots always took a top off to guarantee they had enough fuel….and that is why I don’t like to fly on anything older than 10 years old. I’m fine in a 170/190 or a crj 7/9 but when it’s a 733 or super 88….naw I’ll pass
