You should change the title of this video to, “Why you need a broker when chartering a private jet”.

One way, no set return date.
Round-trip, short term stay but wanting flexibility of hours to days before return.
R/T, multiple stops
Crew layover costs. Deadhead return cost on one-way.
Maybe consider light-jet, no flight attendant, though, maybe with amenities.

Also how much should one pay a broker and can/will this person negotiate prices and act as a concierge arranging cars, hotels and whatnot?

Also, do you tip the attendant and/or flight cr

Chartering is very simple: Find a trustable broker and let them address all of the above by finding you a safe & reliable for jet for your trip. You either pay the broker a fee or they will get paid on the other end. Commissions vary from 5%-20%. My advice is for you to agree to pay your concierge/broker, this way they work for you

I’m sorry I didn’t catch it. I love this channel. Invaluable advice, thank you!

Many charter companies even use spares which are available at cheaper cost in open market, maintenance done in-house & not at authorized MRO etc. Last year one such charter jet crashed in Mumbai, killing all on-board. It was actually a test flight post maintenance so it had pilots & engineers on board, no pax but it crashed due to cost saving in maintenance. It is therefore recommended to use private jet owned by corporates which are used for their own executives & chartered directly by them when not in use. You not only get well maintained aircraft but also experienced crew. Only issue is the jet is based in the city where the group head quarter is located, so if you are staying away from that city, one needs to pay even for empty leg despite some other private jet available for charter in home city. The ideal scenario is to own a private jet so that there is 100% control on aircraft, it’s maintenance & crew.

Eventually all aircraft will not only be fly-by-wire, but electric (or another power source) and flown by AI.
