In reply to Louis A. McCaII II. by 1986 I had my commercial license and Instrument rating but me and my family just rented a plane to go some where> We lied in Houston at the time. The greatest thing wasto rent a plane and fly over Houston at night during Christmas to see all the lights. When Texaco was bought out by Chevron I had to start over and I never the the old Income level to continue renting a plane. I would need some training to get back to my top level. Would never try to fly solo or with family now without the necessary instrument level.

In reply to Louis A. McCaII II. Many citizens know of 3 famous people who died in an aircraft where the pilot was not fully trained on Instrument rating and usage Number 1. John F Kennedy Jr. who was his on pilot with only a Private License and not enough Instrument training for the trip he took that failed due to the lack of instrument training: Number 2. - Buddy Holley and his friends who rented an aircraft to fly to Utah operated by a Young pilot that really did not have enough hours on flying by instruments. Number 3 (recently): Kolbe Bryant The helicopter pilot did not have enough hours of instrument training flying that helicopter.
