I believe the three engines are more effective flying out of higher-altitude airports such as in Colorado. Engines are less effective there when taking-off, so three engines are better than two. Especially when you have to climb to avoid mountains and have a plane full of vacationing skiers.
@Murtazza Ali Engine failures would be less of a problem… if two engines on a tri-jet fails, you would have one engine working vs if you had two engines and two failed you would have none working. Their also sometimes more fuel efficient.
I have a question? What are the benefits of 3 engines instead of two??

@were parus They must be tested for safety and passed by the relevant aviation authorities. They aren’t mass production chairs like a car. Even the weight of the seats must be taken into account for stability.
