Questions? Check out this video to learn a little bit about me:
I’ve watched a few of these videos, but I’m subscribing today. Why? Because ATC said “250” and he repeated “270”, before being corrected by ATC….and he didn’t edit it out.
I know right? Shows his passion for flight & character.
@Patrick Mollohan Very good, you answer the question quite intuitively to my initial concern. I was unable to ascertain if the pilot was following the “270” in (error or otherwise)and had to be corrected to revert to the “250”. It appears per your explanation that the ATC instructed the change course and pilot confirmed ?? This is fascinating and overwhelming stuff to observe as a nervous flyer. Not sure i should be here, but its addictive too. Take away: communication, confirmation, attentiveness. (So …how the heck do pilots and atc deal and understand each other in foreign airports or with foreign pilots!. God bless them! Now I have something else to worry about.
@Tom Sholts – Tesla?
@Goyan The correction happened at 8:20.
Nice part about being a pilot flying out of small airports all the time is having casual conversations with people using each other’s real names on frequency lol?
what?
I live 2 mins from HPN- would love to check out plane sometime
Max is the “Cheers” of the airways. Everybody knows his name.
Citation II? I have flight sim time in that from like 30 years ago.
ive always wanted to become a pilot, but when i grew up i couldnt go up 4 steps on a ladder without being scared. Light speed my friend, youre a fantastic pilot!
How often do you actually perform the complete arrival procedure as opposed to vectoring?
I agree Premier 1 is good, but I like Max because he talks about everything he does…..it’s very helpful for those of us who suck at the new flight simulator….?
@Jaap Riemens It would be a great idea
Citation II? I have flight sim time in that from like 30 years ago.
@Fernando P maybe we should do a flight together when you are in the air! 😉
I think they are both great in their own way. I find it interesting how different pilots handle their workload and do IFR with their own style.
@Jaap Riemens Great. My PC is not ready. Waiting for RTX 3080. I also intend to use Navigraph. Thanks for the tips.
As someone that’s just getting into this biz, that citation gets going and up so damn fast. You love to see it.
This was an impressive landing. Well done! Set it right down on the centerline and even kicked in the perfect amount of rudder right before touchdown. Bravo
Dont you just love it when pilots enjoy flying
I went 8 minutes into this video wondering why the hell does this airplane sounds like a car with transmission shifts. Only when it took off did I realize I have another video playing in the background of a mustang driving around! xD
@Michael van Noort Pretty bold to call someone stupid who doesn’t even fully read before you spew out the first response that comes into your peanut brain.
Hahahahaha
do you fly????
because it was from the cockpit stupid
Lol
One of the things I like about your flying is the fact that you are a great pilot but you are also not too proud to use your checklist and keep it close by.
@Thad L McMullen Wow, small world. School house is now at Ft. Leonard Wood. And YES, I wanted to go green to gold but was told I couldn’t. Learned a great lesson though, if a troop has a question about anything, its ok to say I DONT KNOW and assist them with finding the answer. You lived out my dream life Sir!!! Good to see people like yourself, able to take advantage of some of the great programs that the military has to offer. ?
@Mr T Thanks for your comments sir. Yes, I’ve been truly blessed being able to take advantage of the great programs and training provided by the U.S. Army. This is the best military and country in the world ??!
@Mr T I’m truly sorry you were dissuaded from following a dream based on bogus information from your squad leader. I hope all went well with the rest of your military career.
@Thad L McMullen Thanks. I appreciate that. Yes, had a fun career. Switched to MP, became an instructor at the school house, Senior NCO in line Companies and just got out after 26 years. On to the next chapter. Take care.
@Mr T Yes, retiring as a senior NCO, you had a great career. How ironic though, my first enlistment (1983-1985) was MP (95B) as well. The school house was in Fort McClellan, AL back then. I then went through the Green to Gold Program (ROTC at the University of Alabama) for my commissioning. I retired as an 0-5 in 2013. Take care and God Bless!
Love these great shots of the Hudson on a clear day… Looking forward to a vlog on the first annual inspection if you can do one… Safe travels …. Best, Uncle Rudy
I really like your “cockpit stance”. Not rushed, planning ahead, clear and readable comms. Nice and relaxed!
Dang, only a 2 hr flight?? Takes longer than that to drive across Chicago.
Also, you don’t get shot at.
Christopher Taveras 450-600 mph **
that’s….about the same amount of time as a commercial flight. his plane isn’t magic ?
@Christopher Taveras groundspeed yes, true speed no
Yep traffic sucks in chicago! It used to take me sometimes 3 hours to get home from downtown to frankfort ill.
Max- that was a great Flight- Love the scenary!!!
Greased it! Caught the starboard landing gear coming down on the approach – good timing on the camera switch. Hope the ? was delicious! See ya!
@Ian DePalmer That being the problem. Poor guy had to fly all the way to the south side of Chicago for pizza.
But he was in already in NY/CT for pizza ?
this is super cool
Nice part about flying in Microsoft Flight Simulator is that it doesn’t cost $1800 an hour to enjoy.
@asdsf asf because they enjoy it. That’s a stupid comment lol
I am planning to buy That too
@bandongogogo if you get selected
Except you have to stay in your ratty trailer.
@M H not really
*Watching this just incase I ever need to fly a plane.*
